President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a full secondary school No 330 in Gobustan settlement of Garadagh district of Baku.
Last year on March 9 during the meeting chaired by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Executive Authority of Baku City the head of the state gave instructions for the socio-economic development of suburban settlements. In order to get familiarized with the execution of these instructions last year on April 4, President Ilham Aliyev visited Gobustan and Alat settlements of Garadagh district.
During the visit of the president to Alat, the residents of the settlement asked for the construction of a new school. According to the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 6, 2011, the sum of two million manats was assigned for the construction of a new building of secondary school for 800 pupils in the settlement.
The President cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school.
The head of Garadagh Executive Authority Suleiman Mikailov informed the President of Azerbaijan that the three-storey school building with a total area of 2.5 hectares has all conditions for study. The school consists of 48 classrooms. There are also an assembly hall for 96 seats, a library, a room of military patriotism, laboratories and cabinets for the teaching of physics, chemistry, biology, and other subjects, as well as rooms of dentist and psychologist.
Football, volleyball and basketball courts were created in the large school yard.
The head of state appreciated the school environment.
