On behalf of the ICESCO family and my behalf, I extend my wholehearted congratulations to you on the occasion of your birthday. May this special day be filled with joy, good health, and the company of loved ones.
I would like also to express our appreciation for the remarkable leadership you have provided to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Under your guidance, Azerbaijan has achieved significant milestones in various fields, and your commitment to promoting peace, stability, and development in the region is truly commendable.
Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the growing collaboration between the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and Azerbaijan. The partnership between ICESCO and Azerbaijan has played a pivotal role in fostering cultural exchange, educational advancements, and scientific cooperation. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to the principles of mutual understanding, tolerance, and the promotion of peace and sustainable development.
We are confident that the existing cooperation will continue to flourish under your leadership, bringing about positive outcomes for the people of Azerbaijan and the wider Islamic world. During the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Islamic World in Doha, Qatar, Shusha was declared the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2024. On this note, it will be an honor for ICESCO, to celebrate this initiative under your patronage. Furthermore, the ICESCO Regional Office is soon to be officially opened in Baku, with your blessing and with the purpose of becoming a hub of the Islamic World.
Mr. President, as you will be hosting COP29, we believe that your country's leadership will play a crucial role in shaping global efforts to combat climate change. The involvement of ICESCO can further enrich the cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan in this area.
Last but not least, I am pleased to inform you that ICESCO is currently working on organizing its second international technical mission to the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to conduct an assessment and report on the condition of the cultural, historical and religious heritage to present it to its Member States and other relevant stakeholders.
Once again, Your Excellency, please accept our warmest congratulations on your birthday. May the year ahead be filled with prosperity, peace, and success for you and the people of Azerbaijan.
