Following the official welcoming ceremony, the face-to-face meeting took place between Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan and Abdullah Gul, the President of Turkey.
During the meeting, the satisfaction has been expressed over the development of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various fields. The confidence has been noted in further broadening of this relationship.
Touching upon the importance of high level reciprocal visits, both heads of state emphasized that the official visit of the President of Turkey to Azerbaijan will contribute to the expansion of ties between two countries.
The exchange of views on bilateral relations, regional and international issues was conducted in the meeting.
