President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the four-star Shaki Palace hotel in Shaki.
The staff and construction workers of the hotel warmly welcomed the President.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hotel.
It was noted that the construction of the Shaki Palace hotel with a total area of 8,000 square meters started in May 2007. The building consists of two parts – the upper and lower sections. The hotel will provide services to 100 people at a time. The hotel will employ about 40 people.
The seven rooms of the first two-storey building will accommodate workshops for artisans dealing with historic crafts and service facilities for the sale of their products. There are also 11 special family rooms and a fitness center here. In the upper section of the building there is a winter restaurant and a 100-seat summer terrace in front of it. There is also a conference hall and a tea-house here. A main three-storey building has a total of 34 rooms, including two VIP-rooms – three- and four-room, two double rooms, and the others standard rooms. The hotel will operate 40- and 50-seat restaurants. The hotel has a modern ventilation system.
The opening of Shaki Palace has enhanced the tourist potential of Shaki.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done at the hotel.
