Ilham Aliyev reviewed progress of renovation and reconstruction of the Gulluk village secondary school in Gakh District

As part of a visit to Gakh District, President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed progress of renovation and reconstruction of the Gulluk village secondary school for 300 pupils.
The President was informed that 10 unusable schools were demolished in the aftermath of the natural disaster that had hit Gakh District. Contractors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are currently building secondary schools for 420 pupils in the village of Lakit, for 240 pupils in the village of Zarna, for 220 pupils in the village of Goragan and for 300 pupils in the village of Gulluk.
It was noted that the Gulluk secondary school was put into operation in the 1930s and was last renovated in 2004. the earthquake caused serious damage to the educational institution. Currently the major overhaul of the school has been completed. Two additional sections with an area of 163 square meters have been constructed and put into operation. One of the buildings will operate a gym, the other will have an electronic library, a reading room and a computer room.
It was noted that the two-storey school will provide education to more than 100 pupils. The school has been rebuilt in a modern fashion. A total of 14 classrooms have been completely renovated.
Classrooms have been fitted with the necessary equipment, windows and doors replaced. The school is equipped with a modern heating system, the area around it has been landscaped and trees planted.
After reviewing the renovation and reconstruction, President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
Then, the President met with representatives of the local public.
