President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on February 14.
During the telephone conversation, the parties extensively discussed prospects for economic and trade cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects in the energy and transport fields.
They also had a broad exchange of views on the current situation in the South Caucasus region. The significance of taking consistent measures to ensure stability and security along the Azerbaijan-Armenia border was stressed during the call. In this context, the Presidents underlined the significance of unconditional adherence to the relevant agreements reached at the highest level between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.
Both leaders stated that communication would continue in a variety of venues.
