Ilham Aliyev reviewed a park and attended the opening of a culture center in Kangarli District

As part of a visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kangarli District.

While in the district center, the President visited the statue of the nationwide leader in the Heydar Aliyev Park and laid flowers it.

President Ilham Aliyev met with representatives of the public of Kangarli District.

Saluting representatives of the Kangarli District public, President Ilham Aliyev said:

- We met two years ago when we were gathered for the unveiling of a statue of the great leader. I am very pleased that a lot has been achieved in Kangarli District in the two years. A beautiful center has been established, new office buildings built, private houses are under construction.

A beautiful culture center has been built. So the administrative center of Kangarli District has already been created and achieved significant development. This pleases me a lot because every district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic should experience rapid development.

The autonomous republic has covered a long and glorious road in recent years. Just today I attended several events both in the city of Nakhchivan and in Kangarli District. This afternoon I will attend several other events in Julfa District.

These activities cover all areas.

There is rapid development everywhere, in every district. All the tasks facing the republic are successfully met. Issues of socioeconomic development are resolved, measures are taken to improve the business environment. This dynamics and development are reflected in the economic performance of the autonomous republic. According to the results of last year, industrial and agricultural production and the GDP have increased. This makes me very happy. Nakhchivan has a special place in Azerbaijan. This is an autonomous republic, ancient Azerbaijani land. Since things are going well here, this makes a great contribution to our common cause.

Today we are gathered for the opening of this beautiful culture center. Several years ago we attended the opening of a grand Culture Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan. Now we are attending the opening of a culture center in Kangarli District. This has a symbolic meaning because Kangarli District did not exist as an administrative unit several years ago. Vasif Talibov made such an initiative several years ago. I supported it not only on paper but in deed, and this district was established in a short time. As I mentioned, the district already has an administrative center. This center will grow and I am sure that even more remarkable work will be done in Kangarli District in the coming years.

I heartily congratulate you on this wonderful event. I wish the people of Kangarli District and the entire Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic continued success.

Speaking on behalf of local residents, the teacher of secondary school No 2 in the Garabaglar village, Minura Bayramova, expressed gratitude to the President.

Then the head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of a culture center built in the park in Kangarli District.

It was indicated that the building has a modern appearance. Also, national ornaments were extensively used in the construction of the two-storey building covering an area of 1,743 square meters.

The President reviewed the culture center.

In the lobby of the two-storey building there is a photo section documenting President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Kangarli District in October 2010. Along with offices, there is a 286-seat assembly hall on the first floor. It has a modern lighting system and a special lighting effects unit. There are six offices on the second floor.

There is a room for scenery and a recreation area at the center. The culture center is equipped with a modern ventilation system. Then President Ilham Aliyev reviewed a park named after great leader Heydar Aliyev.

It was indicated that the park, covering an area of five hectares, is well suited for people’s meaningful recreation and is fully landscaped and planted with ornamental trees and flower bushes. There is a fountain, modern looking benches, recreation areas and a children's playground here. The interesting attractions and games are very popular with children.

The park is fitted with modern lighting and irrigation systems and is surrounded by office buildings of several government institutions and catering facilities.
