Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new office building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

A new office building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been opened.
President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony.

The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Maj-Gen Shamo Abdullayev, reported to President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the office building.

The President reviewed the classroom of the building.

This is where instructions are handed out in emergency situations and trainings conducted on how to use visual aids.

Then the President was informed about the “112” hotline. The latest equipment available here provides for a timely delivery of information in emergencies.

It was noted that the total area of the eight-storey building is 7,592.2 square meters. It has 159 rooms – 103 offices and 56 ancillary facilities. The building has a Crisis Management Center. The Center enables allows efficiency in the prevention of emergency situations. It is expected to analyze emergency situations in conjunction with relevant agencies, take action to prevent possible emergencies on the territory of the autonomous republic and eliminate their consequences. The control room is equipped with a display for direct observation of emergency scenes. There is video conferencing equipment, 15 personal displays, a sound system, 16 communication kits and an electronic tribune.

It was noted that the operating room of the Crisis Management Center operates around the clock. The available video surveillance system enables specialists to determine the location and monitor an emergency. The e-map in the operating room contains the database of the entire infrastructure in the autonomous republic.

The building operates classrooms for civil defense courses. The classrooms are fitted with radiation detection equipment, instrumentation, radiation monitoring and chemical detection instruments, personal and medical protection equipment.

President Ilham Aliyev examined the equipment on display outside the ministry.

The President praised the work done at the new office building and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
