As part of a visit to Agstafa, President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the reconstructed Heydar Aliyev Culture and Recreation Park in the district center.
The President was informed that the area around the park has been reconstructed. The Huseyn Arif Street, where the park is located, has been paved, the sidewalks and balustrades replaced in line with the latest standards. The area along the road has been landscaped. All the surrounding buildings have acquired a modern appearance after the reconstruction.
It was noted that the park covers an area of 4.8 hectares. There are three fountains here – 12 meters in length and 5 meters in width each. Near the fountains there are 10 marble seats in the form of semicircles. The promenade areas have been covered with 8,500 square meters of burnt granite. Thanks to all this the park has acquired a new appearance. The lighting and watering systems of the park have been fully renovated. There are also 124 new and modern lighting poles in the park now. A total of 50 people are employed with the park’s service facilities.
There is a memorial of great leader Heydar Aliyev in the park. In the background of the statue there is a special corner in the form of a 25-meter colonnade consisting of 12 granite columns each seven meters in height. There is a granite fountain 11 meters in length and one meter in height. The memorial is complemented with evergreen trees planted behind the columns. The park operates a youth center, an outdoor cinema, a mother and child café and a veterans' club. Modern materials have been used in the construction of these facilities. The park also has a wireless Internet network.
Praising the work done at the Heydar Aliyev Culture and Recreation Park, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction.
