President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Director of the World Bank's strategy and operations, Theodore Ahlers.

The Director of the World Bank's strategy and operations, Theodore Ahlers, said he was pleased to participate in the discussions held at the second high-level economic policy forum organized by the government of Azerbaijan jointly with the World Bank.

President Aliyev pointed to the importance of the second high-level forum on economic policy and said that in the coming years, after Azerbaijan has completed the first stage of economic development, the further enhancement of the non-oil sector would remain a key priority.

The sides expressed their satisfaction over the many years of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank in the banking sector and voiced their confidence that this cooperation would be continued.
