President Ilham Aliyev has received Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Expressing his satisfaction with the rapid development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE in various fields, the President of Azerbaijan voiced his confidence that these relations would strengthen further in the coming years. Stressing that the ties between the two countries in political, economic, cultural and other fields have entered a new phase, President Aliyev said this cooperation served the interests of peace and stability in the region. The President emphasized that Azerbaijan and the UAE have successfully worked together also within international organizations.
Foreign Minister conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He said the President of the UAE was satisfied with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates and expressed hope that bilateral relations would continue to thrive under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the President of the United Arab Emirates.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
