President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the Iraqi parliament, Hammam Hammoudi.

The President expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq. Stressing that the Iraqi foreign minister visited Azerbaijan some time ago, President Aliyev said the two countries intend to develop cooperation in all fields. Pointing to the importance of inter-parliamentary ties for the development of bilateral relations, the President expressed his confidence that the visit by the Iraqi parliament delegation would serve to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The chairman of the foreign relations committee of the Iraqi parliament, Hammam Hammoudi, expressed his satisfaction with the visit of a large delegation representing all of Iraq’s regions in parliament. Indicating that a stable society had already been formed in Iraq, Hammam Hammoudi said his country was interested in expanding cooperation with neighboring countries, in particular with Azerbaijan, in various areas, including economy, trade and investment.
