Ilham Aliyev attended opening of “Mirvari” Park Complex in Pirallahi district

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have viewed conditions created at the newly-built “Mirvari” Park Complex in Pirallahi district.

The complex, which occupies a total area of five hectares, has a mini-football pitch and two playgrounds for children, different attractions, sports facilities and a fountain.

The head of state and first lady viewed an exhibition of paintings and decorative handicrafts of the Karabakh war disabled organized as part of “Easy Support to Family Business” program of “ASAN Xidmət”.

The complex houses Elderly Day Care Center. The center was established under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev in June, 2019. It will provide daily care free of charge to 50 elderly people who need social assistance.

The head of state and first lady then met with representatives of the district`s general public.

Mehriban Aliyeva: Good afternoon, we are very glad to see you, thank you very much.

Resident: Mr President, we the elders of the Pirallahi district, are saying to you and Mrs Aliyeva again – “You are welcome!”. Today, Pirallahi settlement and Pirallahi district are perhaps one of the most advanced districts of the city of Baku. We express our deep appreciation for all this work done. All this landscaping work has been done thanks to you.

Resident: We wish you and Mrs Aliyeva robust health.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you.

Resident: A few days ago, you met with refugees. And today, Mr President, you are meeting with us in Pirallahi. We express our deep appreciation to you for that. A lot of improvement work is being done here. There are many buildings in emergency condition – about 400, and now construction is under way thanks to you. May Allah protect you.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you. We are paying attention to the development of the district. In recent years, a lot has been done in the area of landscaping and improvement. The appearance of the district has changed and, as you said today, it is now one of the most advanced districts of Baku. Infrastructure projects are being implemented here. Two years ago, a drinking water project was implemented, and all issues related to gasification have been resolved. Jobs are being created, a pharmaceutical factory is being built here. Some time ago, a syringe manufacturing plant was opened here as well. This indicates that we are achieving success both in creating jobs and are carrying out improvement work. New houses for internally displaced persons have been commissioned. More than 300 families have been placed there. Office buildings and roads are being built. In other words, a lot of work is being done for the comprehensive development of the district, and it will continue to be carried out in the future too. Job creation is also one of the issues that are always on the agenda, and I see the launch of the hatchery as a very important event. Of course, public areas and parks are being set up and there are excellent opportunities for people to relax.

Veteran sportsman: As a sports veteran and world champion, I would like to express deep gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva on behalf of the athletes. I wish you robust health. I have a prosthetic leg, you have helped me. Thank you very much.
