President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister for Religious Affairs of Turkey, Mehmet Gormez.
The President stressed that friendly relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are developing successfully in all areas. He noted that Azerbaijan had hosted a number of international events on religious and spiritual values at a high level, including last year’s Baku summit of religious leaders of the world. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of such activities for the enhancement of cooperation. The President said that the visit by the Minister for Religious Affairs of Turkey, Mehmet Gormez, to Azerbaijan would further strengthen the ties in this area.
The Minister for Religious Affairs of Turkey, Mehmet Gormez, passed greetings on behalf of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on to President Ilham Aliyev President. Saying that he last visited Baku five years ago, the guest noted he was witnessing extensive development in Azerbaijan over the past period.
The President of Azerbaijan thanked the minister for the greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and asked him to communicate his greetings to the Turkish President and Prime Minister.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
