President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States Baghdad Amreyev.
The head of state once again congratulated Baghdad Amreyev as he was approved as Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, and expressed confidence that he will contribute to the expansion of cooperation among the brotherly member states of the organization.
President Ilham Aliyev recalled the milestone founding Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States held 10 years ago in Nakhchivan, emphasizing that it has further strengthened and grown into an important international organization over the past period.
Baghdad Amreyev thanked for the congratulations and noted that the establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States 10 years ago on the Azerbaijani soil of Nakhchivan, where the great son of the Turkic world, national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was born, gave a particular importance to the organization. He emphasized that Azerbaijan will host the next Summit on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States this autumn, expressing confidence that the Summit will also be excellently organized by the country. Baghdad Amreyev briefed the head of state on the development of cooperation in a number of areas within the organization, including in economic, trade, financial, and transport ones, as well as the establishment of relations with relevant international organizations.
President Ilham Aliyev wished Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States Baghdad Amreyev success in his future activities, and noted that Azerbaijan will excellently host the Summit on the 10th anniversary of the organization.
