President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Minister of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei.
Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei said he is happy to visit Azerbaijan and extended greetings of President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Emir of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Ilham Aliyev.
The head of state praised the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates. He hailed the fact that the scope of bilateral cooperation between the two countries covers new areas, including the tourism sector. Pointing out the growing number of the UAE’s tourists arriving in Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev described this as a sign of friendly ties between the two countries, and noted that the visitors see the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.
Minister of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei hailed the relations with Azerbaijan as one of the most important directions on his country’s foreign policy agenda. He noted that the UAE praises the establishment of large investment opportunities in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The importance of the Baku-hosted events in the OPEC+ format was hailed, the issues relating to cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE in the field of energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, renewable energy, and in various economic projects was discussed at the meeting.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and asked the minister to extend his greetings to President of the United Arab Emirates, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Emir of Dubai, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
