President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is in Poland on a working visit, met with Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat.
The importance of the Eastern Partnership Summit of the European Union, held in Warsaw, was stressed during the meeting. It was noted that this event, at the same time, created a good opportunity to discuss bilateral relations. The need to enhance cooperation in the economic sphere was emphasized in the meeting, where political ties between the two countries were also noted.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues related to cooperation between the two states within international organizations, including the European Union and Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, as well as on prospects to develop cooperation in transportation, security, and energy fields. In addition, the significance of mutual visits and organization of meetings between the businessmen were noted.
