President Ilham Aliyev has examined the condition of secondary school No 123 named Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev in the Mardakan settlement of the Khazar district of Baku after reconstruction and enquired about progress in the major overhaul of local secondary school No 181.
In accordance with the action plan on major overhaul and reconstruction of schools, which is part of the State Program on the socioeconomic development of Baku and its suburban settlements in 2011-2013 for this year, major overhaul and reconstruction of secondary schools of the capital is under way.
President Ilham Aliyev arrived at secondary school No 123 named after Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev to examine the condition of this educational institution after renovation. The President was informed about the work done. We recall that on 12 May, when President Ilham Aliyev was reviewing the work done in the Mardakan settlement of the Khazar district, local residents asked the head of state for overhaul of secondary school No 123. President Ilham Aliyev gave the instruction on major overhaul and restoration of the school on the spot. In accordance with the instruction of the head of state, school No 123 was renovated to modern standards in a short period of time. Classrooms, subject-specific rooms and laboratories of the school have been fully renovated, the floors and ceilings replaced, and the façade restored. The school is fitted with modern computer equipment. The school’s playground has also been rebuilt. There are all facilities for physical training of pupils here.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed progress of major overhaul and reconstruction of secondary school No 181 in the Mardakan settlement. President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the work done. It was indicated that the school was built in 1965 and covers an area of four hectares. School No 181 is designed for 964 pupils but a total of 1,514 are receiving education there, while classes are held in two shifts. After reviewing the progress of major overhaul and reconstruction, the head of state gave appropriate instructions.
