Ilham Aliyev received president of Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received President of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Gandini.

The head of state praised Jorge Gandini`s participation in the 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum, describing this as a sign of Uruguay`s support for the forum and the country`s interest in developing bilateral relations. President Ilham Aliyev hailed Uruguay`s high-level representation in the forum as a wonderful manifestation of bilateral cooperation. The head of state said that the two countries are bound together by the ties of friendship, adding that high-level reciprocal visits strengthen these ties even further. Noting that the Azerbaijani foreign minister paid a visit to Uruguay, President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that reciprocal trips are of great importance for discussing the future of cooperation. The head of state expressed confidence that a broad exchange of views on the development of bilateral relations will be conducted during Jorge Gandini`s visit to Azerbaijan.

President of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Gandini thanked the head of state for inviting him to the 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum. He said that the forum has been excellently held for many years and extended congratulations on this occasion. Touching upon the importance of reciprocal visits, Jorge Gandini stressed that such trips create wide opportunities for exchanging views over cooperation prospects.
