President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani in Aktau.
The successful development of relations in political, economic and other spheres was pointed out during the meeting. The sides emphasized the fact that the joint economic projects implemented by the two countries have yielded good results. The successful implementation of cooperation in energy, transport and infrastructure areas as well as on the North-South transport corridor was stressed.
The presidents highlighted the importance of the 5th Summit of the Heads of State of the Caspian littoral states held in Kazakhstan and the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, expressing their confidence that it will further enhance cooperation among the Caspian littoral states.
The sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.
