President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Ismail Kahraman.

Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman welcomed President Ilham Aliyev.

Ismayil Kahraman hailed President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Turkey. Congratulating President Ilham Aliyev on his brilliant victory in the presidential election, chairman of the Turkish Parliament said: “Your landslide victory honored us. President Ilham Aliyev is an important personality not only for his country but also for the region and the world.”

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly for the sincere congratulations and expressed his confidence that this visit will be a new stage in the dvelopment of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The successful development of the Azerbaijan-Turkey bilateral relations was hailed, the contribution of the interparliamentary cooperation to the expansion of ties was pointed out at the meeting.

The sides noted the importance of Azerbaijan’s and Turkey's contribution to the regional cooperation and security and joint implementation of large-scale global strategic projects.
