Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of newly-appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of newly-appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Inayatullah Kakar.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor. Inayatullah Kakar handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Stressing that Azerbaijan and Pakistan are close and friendly countries, President Ilham Aliyev said the relations between the two states were at the level of alliance. Pointing to the successful development of bilateral relations, the head of state highlighted the importance of the countries’ mutual support in international organizations. Speaking about the importance of a further strengthening of political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, President Ilham Aliyev indicated that there was a good potential for the development of economic relations. The head of state expressed his confidence that bilateral relations would further expand during Inayatullah Kakar’s diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan, and wished the diplomat success in his activities.

Ambassador Inayatullah Kakar passed on to the Azerbaijani President greetings on behalf of the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Stressing that the level of bilateral relations was causing contentment, he pointed to the broad opportunities for the development of economic ties. The Pakistani diplomat said he would do everything in his power as part of his diplomatic mission to further develop bilateral relations.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the diplomat for the greetings from leaders of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and asked the Ambassador to pass his own greetings to the Pakistani leaders.
