Ilham Aliyev received Boeing delegation

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Kevin McAllister.

The head of state said Azerbaijan and Boeing enjoy a long-term successful cooperation, and noted that the Azerbaijan Civil Aviation purchased nearly 20 airplanes produced by this company. Noting that Azerbaijan has a very modern and quality air fleet, President Ilham Aliyev underlined that Azerbaijan Airlines enjoy a very good reputation. The head of state said Azerbaijan is already becoming an international transport hub. Saying that Azerbaijan made great strides in transport and infrastructure development, President Ilham Aliyev noted that seven new airports, including six international ones, have been built in the country in recent years. The President emphasized excellent operation of cargo and passenger planes. President Ilham Aliyev also stressed that a state-of-the-art shipyard producing all kinds of modern ships was built, and state-of-the-art railway and road infrastructure was established in Azerbaijan. Touching upon the transportation of goods by air, the head of state emphasized that Azerbaijan plays an important role not only in the region, but also in the global cargo traffic. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan`s cooperation with Boeing will continue successfully.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Kevin McAllister hailed cooperation with Azerbaijan, including AZAL, as very strong. On behalf of Boeing he said they strongly believe in further development of Azerbaijan, and expressed his confidence that the bilateral relations will continue to expand.

They also noted that Azerbaijan-US bilateral ties are developing successfully a number of areas.
