President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani have held a one-on-one meeting.

They hailed the development of relations between the two countries in a variety of areas. The presidents also emphasized the importance of the "Heart of Asia"-Istanbul Process (HoA IP) 7th Ministerial Conference which is being held in Baku. The importance of the Afghan President's visit in terms of the further expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries was underlined at the meeting.
The presidents also discussed issues of mutual interest.
