I saw it necessary to write to you during these difficult times, in order to express our support and emphasize the strong friendship between our two nations.

Please let me express my true condolences for the loss of life during the last days, and to send warm wishes of speedy recovery to the wounded.

Unfortunately, my nation knows well the pain of the conflict and casualties. Over the years both our nations have learned to cope with major challenges, some of which cost the lives of soldiers and civilians.

Now, your wonderful country is forced to face a new challenge. But our experience has taught us to believe, and never be afraid. I have no doubt that with your strong leadership and wisdom you will lead your people in the right path, which will ensure years of peace and prosperity to all.

Let me offer again true support and thoughts, as friends do, and please let me know if I can be helpful in any way.
