On June 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, wrapped up his working visit to Italy, where, on the invitation of President of the Republic of Italy Giorgio Napolitano, he attended the solemn holiday celebrations in Rome on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of unification of Italy and the 65th anniversary of the Republic of Italy.

Later on the same day, the President returned to Baku.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the President was welcomed by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Chief of the Administration of the President Ramiz Mehdiyev, and Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalybov.
On April 23, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan hosted an official banquet in Beijing in honor of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
