Ilham Aliyev presented medals to winners

Azerbaijani judo fighters have claimed 6 gold, and 7 silver at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev, first lady, Chairperson of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and family members, President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer watched the final bout.

Female fighter Erdenebat Bazarragchaa secured the gold medal thanks to a victory over teammate Aisha Gurbanli 1-0 in the women`s 48kg weight class.

Azerbaijani judo fighter Orkhan Safarov (60kg) has won a gold medal at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku. Orkhan Safarov sealed his victory after beating Turkish Bekir Ozlu 2-1.

Team Azerbaijan has added another gold to the country`s medal haul at the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games as judo fighter Nijat Shikhalizade climbed on the winner`s rostrum in the men`s 66kg weight category. Shikhalizade defeated Algerian Houd Zourdani by ippon.

Judo fighter Hidayet Heydarov added the gold to the country`s medal haul at the Baku 2017 4th Islamic Solidarity Games. He beat his teammate Rustam Orujov in the 73kg weight category final.

Blind judo fighter Afag Sultanova has grabbed a gold medal in the women's 57kg weight category at the Games. She defeated her teammate Sevda Valiyeva in the final bout.

Ramila Kashtayeva has added the gold to the country`s medal haul at the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games as blind judo fighter became the winner in the women`s 70kg class. Kashtayeva beat her teammate Turane Aghayeva by ippon.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer presented the medals to the judo fighters.

The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the flag was raised in honor of the champions.
