Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met in limited format

Following the official welcome ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani have held a meeting in a limited format.

A great role played by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s official visit to Iran in developing relations was highlighted during the meeting. The sides stressed the significance of high-level reciprocal visits in developing cooperation between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked President Hassan Rouhani for the invitation, and said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing relations with Iran.
