Ilham Aliyev inspected the reconstruction works at Azerbaijan State Museum of Carpet and Applied Arts

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva inspected the construction works at the new building of Azerbaijan State Museum of Carpet and Applied Arts at the Seaside National Park and visited the site designed for construction of State Museum of Music Culture.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev briefed the President about the construction works. The new building, the construction of which is based on the joint project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and UNESCO, will feature unique architectural style and unusual structure. Upon the completion of construction works, greenery works will be carried out in the surrounding areas, and a museum complex will be built. The President and the First Lady checked the construction works and viewed the boards, adorned with national ornaments that would be featured on top of the building. President Ilham Aliyev gave instructions and suggestions to carry out the construction works in line with modern standards.

Later, the President and the First Lady viewed the model project of Azerbaijan State Music Culture Museum, which is planned to be built in “the Venetian town” area. Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev briefed Azerbaijani President and the First Lady on the project. It was mentioned that the notes of Azerbaijani national anthem are displayed on the cover of the building. The President was told that the work project is planned to be completed by the end of the year, followed by the start of construction works for the next year.

Having viewed the model project of Azerbaijan State Music Culture Museum, President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva visited the site, designed for construction of the museum.
