Ilham Aliyev received credentials of South Sudanese Ambassador

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Sudan Telar Ring Deng.

Ambassador Telar Ring Deng reviewed a guard of honor.

Telar Ring Deng presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev then had a conversation with the ambassador.

Noting that relations between Azerbaijan and South Sudan were at the initial stage of development, the head of state hailed the importance of reviewing the initiatives aimed at developing the bilateral cooperation.

President Ilham Aliyev underlined the significance of exploring opportunities for the development of bilateral relations in a variety of areas, particularly in the field of economy, energy, trade and healthcare.

Telar Ring Deng said he was pleased to be appointed as ambassador to Azerbaijan, adding that this created a good opportunity for getting closely familiarized with the country. Saying it is his first visit to Azerbaijan, ambassador Telar Ring Deng hailed the beauty of Baku. He said South Sudan is one of the newest countries on the world map, and expressed hope that his country will build good bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.
