President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.
President Ilham Aliyev said the Venezuelan President's visit to Azerbaijan created good opportunities for the expansion of bilateral cooperation and development of the two countries` relations in a variety of fields.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro noted that his visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to the development of Azerbaijan-Venezuela bilateral relations. He said this was important for both countries' regions.
They noted the significance of exploring cooperation in the field of trade, investment making and energy.
President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The head of state underlined the importance of solving the dispute within the framework of international law.
They exchanged views on cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC countries in terms of the stabilization of oil prices on the world market.
They also discussed cooperation within international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement.
