President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of Defense Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain.
Highlighting the importance of the visit of Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain to Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev noted the significance of the Pakistani Minister`s participation in Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition. Recalling with the pleasure the trip of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain to Azerbaijan, the head of state described this visit as a good sign of frank and fraternal ties between the two countries. President Ilham Aliyev also recalled with pleasure his meeting with the Pakistani Prime Minister in Davos. The head of state hailed relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, stressing the two countries have always supported each other within all international organizations. The President thanked the brotherly country for supporting the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity. President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan has always supported Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, adding Pakistan was one of the closest friends of the country.
The head of state expressed confidence that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the fields of defense and defense industry will continue to develop successfully.
Minister of Defense Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain said he was pleased to visit Azerbaijan again.
On behalf of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he invited President Ilham Aliyev to pay a visit to Pakistan. He noted that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had great respect for President Ilham Aliyev.
