Within the framework of a visit to Agjabadi, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Heydar Aliyev recreation park in the district center.
The head of state was informed that the creative and landscaping work under way in the country was creating conditions for effective recreation of the population. The establishment of new parks is playing an important part in organizing meaningful rest of the population and changing the appearance of the country’s cities and districts.
It was indicated that the Heydar Aliyev park, which was commissioned in 2000, covers an area of 4 hectares. There is a monument to the great leader in the park that was refurbished in 2008. In the background of the monument there is a map of Azerbaijan made in granite. The park, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the town, has all the conditions for both children and adults to have rest. There are four merry-go-rounds, six kiosks and a tea-house here. There is also a stage for various shows.
It was indicated that the park has been reconstructed in accordance with a special architectural style with extensive application of national ornaments. Further beauty is lent to the park by the arch, the paths around and in the center of it, the central square, two fountains and a modern lighting system. Amenity planting has been carried out on an area of 2 hectares, evergreen trees and flowers planted with good taste. Thanks to all this the Heydar Aliyev recreation park has become a favorite place of rest for the residents and visitors of Agjabadi District.
The head of state gave a high assessment to the conditions created in the park and expressed satisfaction with the work done.
