President of the Republic of Lithuania Madam Dalia Grybauskaitė visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

In the framework of her official visit to Azerbaijan, President of the Republic of Lithuania Madam Dalia Grybauskaitė visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Head of Lithuanian state was met by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Madam Mehriban Aliyeva.

President Ilham Aliyev and Madam Mehriban Aliyeva informed the high ranking guest about goals and activities of the Foundation created in memory of national leader of the Azerbaijani people.

It was reported that the Foundation studies and promotes the rich heritage of national leader and renders its assistance to the progress of Azerbaijan, development of its culture and studying of its history via the implementation of various social, economic and humanitarian projects.

President of Lithuania got familiarized with photos and various objects related to the various stages of the activities of great leader and those taken from his personal archives.

During the tour in the Foundation, President Dalia Grybauskaitė was informed that during the rule of great leader written the most glorious pages of Azerbaijani history. Today social-economic development and achievements that are accepted by the international community as the exceptional successes of our country are the results of activities of the national leader.

High ranking guest familiarized with many documents reflecting the most various moments of life of the phenomenal personality Heydar Aliyev and enabling a comprehensive perception of the entire period of Azerbaijani history, the gifts presented by world famous politicians as well as books dedicated to the great leader and various opinions expressed about the founder of independent Azerbaijani state by prestigious scientific, cultural and arts figures. President of Lithuania watched also photos taken in various meeting with leaders of foreign countries.

Following the tour in the Foundation, President Dalia Grybauskaitė signed the Book of Honorary Guests.

Afterwards, gifts were exchanged.

High ranking guest left the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with rich impression.
