President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul.
The sides noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey enjoyed excellent bilateral ties, and hailed friendly, fraternal and partnership relations between the two countries.
During the conversation, they stressed the importance of the 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which brings together more than 30 heads of state.
President Ilham Aliyev said the Summit was excellently organized, and wished Turkey success during its chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The parties exchanged views over the recent developments on the frontline in the Nagorno-Karabakh.
