President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the US Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs Amos Hochstein.
The head of state hailed the second ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council which is being held in Baku as a successful format for joint discussions on the implementation of the project.
Stressing the importance of the US government's support for the project, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of Amos Hochstein's participation in the meeting. The head of state expressed his hope that the meeting would yield good results.
The US Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs Amos Hochstein said he was pleased to be invited to the second meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council.
Describing the last year's meeting as fruitful, Amos Hochstein underlined the significance of holding this year's event at a time which is of pivotal importance for the project.
He said that the meeting provided a good opportunity for carrying out exchange of views on various issues related to the implementation of the project.
