Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Azerbaijan, Arbhorn Manasvanich.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Arbhorn Manasvanich presented her credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then President Ilham Aliyev spoke with the Ambassador.

The head of state said with confidence that there was a need for a closer cooperation between the two countries in order to develop bilateral relations. Stressing the importance of strengthening political relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Thailand, President Aliyev highlighted the value of work on expanding cooperation in various areas – economic, energy, tourism, etc. The President said Azerbaijan is interested in seeing more Thai companies in our country. President Aliyev also noted that business people of both countries are interested in getting to know each other better. The President expressed confidence that the activities of Arbhorn Manasvanich as Ambassador to Azerbaijan would contribute to the development of bilateral ties.

Ambassador Arbhorn Manasvanich communicated to the head of the Azerbaijani state greetings on behalf of the King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Pointing to the good potential for the development of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Thailand, Arbhorn Manasvanich said that she was accompanied by a group of businessmen from her country in order to become thoroughly acquainted with the possibilities for cooperation and expansion of trade relations. She added that Azerbaijan is home to a small Thai community.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and asked to pass on his greeting to the head of the Thai state.
