President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic who is in Baku to attend the opening ceremony of the First European Games.
The head of state expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying there were good opportunities for expanding these ties.
President Ilham Aliyev said there was great interest in the First European Games, and wished athletes of Bosnia and Herzegovina success.
Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic said that a few years ago the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted an official document on Armenia`s aggression against Azerbaijan and Khojaly massacre - a resolution recognizing and expressing respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The sides stressed the importance of high level reciprocal visits in terms of the strengthening of the ties between the two countries. The sides also exchanged views over the issues related to the development of the bilateral relations in various areas, including in energy sector.
