Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of a fruit drying and processing facility in Samukh

President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of “NAA agrotara” LLC fruit drying and processing facility in Samukh.

The President started the work of the plant – the only one of its kind in the CIS and watched the production process.

The plant is capable of desiccating 12 tons of fruits and vegetables, as well as herbs on a daily basis. 150 people will be employed permanently, while 60 employees will be hired seasonally. Although the plant has just started its activity, 800 tons of apples have already been delivered from Guba region. The desiccated products differ with their high quality and naturalness. Currently, apples are dried and packaged, in accordance with the standards. Modern equipments have been put in place in the cooling warehouse with a capacity of 25 thousand tons. The sanitary procedures are in full accordance with international standards at the facility.
