Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of Tovuz Park of Culture and Recreation

President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of Tovuz Park of Culture and Recreation.

The President was informed that the construction of park had begun in early 2009. 5615 oak trees and 1125 pine trees had already existed in the area of the park, which covers an area of 10.2 hectares. Following the construction of the park, hundreds of trees and ornamental bushes have been planted. Land improvement works have been carried out over 30 thousand cubic meters of land and extensive construction-renovation works have been done by using local construction materials. A decorative fence has been drawn around the park, grand entrance gates have been built in two different places, and 14 fountains and an artificial waterfall have been built.

A monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev was erected in the center of the Park and an entertainment center was built for the efficient organization of leisure time by youth.

Lawns have been planted in a large-scale area and modern lighting system has been set up. The extension of the park in the direction of Tovuz river is scheduled for future.

President Ilham Aliyev listened to ashug music in the park and he was presented a saz (Azerbaijani folk musical instrument) on behalf of the regional community.

The President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the project of a five-star hotel, being built in the region. It was noted that 5.2 hectares of land has been allocated from the Bozalganli village area for construction of the hotel in 2008. The 5-storey hotel will feature 72 rooms, and a sports-health center, consisting of a swimming pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a gym and a massage room. For the reliable water supply of the hotel, the construction of which is scheduled to be completed in March of the current year, a subartesian well has been dug.

President Ilham Aliyev gave his instructions and recommendations regarding the construction process.
