Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a dairy processing plant in Tovuz

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Tovuz dairy processing plant in the area of Bozalganli village.

The President cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening and toured the plant.

The construction of the plant was completed in December of the last year. The production site of the plant, built by the order of “Gilan Holding”, is 3.9 thousand square meters. Yogurt, curds, buttermilk, kefir, sour cream and cheese are being produced in the plant. Currently, the production capacity of the plant is 20 tons per day. If working in its full potential, the plant is capable of producing 40 tons of milk a day.

The opening of a plant, where 25 people are employed, will positively contribute to development of cattle-breeding. In order to provide the plant with milk, it is planned to open up three reception centers in the region.

President Ilham Aliyev pressed the button starting the work of the plant.

The President watched the processing and packaging process at the milk receiving, yogurt, curds, kefir-buttermilk and cheese warehouses, viewed the stand, where the products of the plant were demonstrated, and tasted some cheese.

President Ilham Aliyev gave instructions and suggestions for the activity of the plant.
