President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov, who is in Baku to attend the 3rd Global Baku Forum organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
The head of state recalled with pleasure his previous meetings with President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov.
President Ilham Aliyev said bilateral relations between the two countries were developing successfully, and noted that there were good opportunities for the expansion of cooperation in the economic area.
Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan`s big achievements in recent years and wished the country successes. Gjorge Ivanov described the holding of the first European Games in Baku as a big historical event.
During the meeting, the sides said that there were good opportunities for the expansion of bilateral bonds between the two countries, and exchanged views over the issues related to the development of cooperation in energy, investment making, implementation of joint projects, education and other spheres.
