Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Flag Square in Neftchala

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Flag Square during his visit to Neftchala District.

The tricolor of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic with a star and crescent once again became a state attribute of independent Azerbaijan owing to the historical merits of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. After the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence, our national flag was first raised in Nakhchivan on the initiative of great leader Heydar Aliyev. Respect and reverence for state attributes is the greatest gift of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people. Now the Azerbaijani flag proudly flies in the most influential international organizations and at representative events. Today every Azerbaijani considers the state flag to be the source of his pride. And this is thanks to the particular attitude of President Ilham Aliyev to state attributes. It is noteworthy that after Baku, where the world's tallest flagpole has been installed, squares are being created and special projects are being implemented in honor of our tricolor in most regions of our country. The Flag Square created in Neftchala and the state flag installed here also attract attention with their grandeur. The Flag Square in Neftchala is another good example of great respect and reverence for state attributes in our country.

The head of state was informed that the height of the flagpole is 36 meters. This makes it possible to see the state flag from any point in the city. The Flag Square, the construction of which began in 2012, is also an indicator of ​​creative work carried out in the district. Extensive landscaping work has been carried out on the Flag Square, green areas have been laid out and a modern lighting system has been installed. All conditions have been created on the square for the recreation of the townspeople.
