Ilham Aliyev took part in the flower festival organized in the capital on the occasion of the 91st birthday anniversary of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev

A flower festival has been arranged in the park outside the Heydar Aliyev Palace and the Central City Park behind the palace in Baku on the occasion of the 91st birthday anniversary of nationwide leader of the Azerbaijani people, world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, his wife Mehriban Aliyeva and their family have joined the holiday of flowers.

The festival of flowers organized outside the Heydar Aliyev Palace every year has expanded its territory. This year it has been joined by the Central City Park behind the palace.

These places of recreation popular with residents and visitors of Baku seem to have been turned into a wonderful flower garden. The whole area has been decorated with interesting compositions – floral carpets with beautiful designs, pictures of flowers, plants and leaves, figures of birds and fairy tale characters made up of the flowers of various colors. All of these are filled with artistic expression, demonstrate the endless possibilities of beauty and awaken a good mood in everyone.

The pedestal of the magnificent monument to the creator of our independent state, the brilliant son of the Azerbaijani people and great leader Heydar Aliyev, whose 91st birthday anniversary we celebrate today, is also decorated with flowers. The fountains bearing a pleasant coolness are also surrounded with flowers. The abundance of colors looks pleasing to the eye and creates a pleasant mood. Interestingly, not a single composition displayed in the festival repeats another.

One of the most majestic compositions has been erected in front of the Heydar Aliyev Palace. It is adorned with a flower portrait of the great leader.

A special touch to the festival organized by the Mayor’s Office of Baku has been imparted by children dressed in various garments resembling flowers. An interesting event of the festival was a procession of hundreds of children in bright costumes resembling flower parade.

The head of state, his wife and family members chatted warmly with the kids gathered in the park and were photographed together.

President Ilham Aliyev also reviewed the plan of temporary parking slots to be created in different parts of the city. It was noted that as a result of the joint work of the State Traffic Police and a special department of motor control under the Mayor’s Office of Baku, single-row parking slots will be created on right and left sides of certain streets of the capital. Special payment machines will be installed in the vicinity. This system will prevent traffic congestion in the city.

The tribute paid to the memory of great leader Heydar Aliyev with spring flowers is evidence of the deep respect and reverence of our people for the great leader.
