President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the new administrative building of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The reforms being carried out in our country in all areas today have opened up broad opportunities for adopting important measures both in the sphere of building the army and of working with the law enforcement agencies. Strengthening the legislative base linked to the Armed Forces is also of particular importance in our country, which has the strongest army in the South Caucasus, as is reviewing the implementation and application of the laws in force in this sphere. Resolving the social problems facing the staff of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, including the Military Prosecutor’s Office, is in the focus of attention in the country at the same time as adopting measures to enhance their social protection. Moreover, particular attention is being paid to overhauling the administrative premises of the Military Prosecutor’s Office, to constructing new buildings. The conditions created in the new administrative premises of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are further evidence that building the army in our country, forming the activities of the Military Prosecutor’s Office agencies, which play a crucial role in defending human rights and freedoms, have contributed to substantial qualitative changes in this sphere, taking into account the demands of the times.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov told the president that all the conditions necessary for the work of the Military Prosecutor’s Office staff had been created in the six-storey building of unique architectural design.
A progressive legal framework developed in line with the new demands has been formed thanks to the reforms implemented in the Military Prosecutor’s Office with the head of state’s support. Comprehensive work has been carried out in the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in this context, too. Following the development of a civilized state institute operating on the basis of new principles and work methods, new personnel was brought in and important work was carried out to urgently eliminate the existing shortcomings. Moreover, specific measures are continuing to improve coordination with other law enforcement agencies, to create a centralized information and communications system broadly utilizing modern scientific and technical know-how, to make the work of staff more effective along all lines and enhance their professionalism, train the new generation of military procuracy staff, strengthen their social protection and improve their logistical support.
