Ilham Aliyev received the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodzhiddin Aslov.

The head of state stressed that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan are developing successfully in all areas. Recalling with satisfaction the visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to our country, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of the visit in terms of discussing issues related to the further development of relations between the two countries. The head of state expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to develop successfully. President Ilham Aliyev expressed the hope that the visit of Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodzhiddin Aslov to Azerbaijan will serve to further strengthen cooperation.

Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodzhiddin Aslov conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Emomali Rahmon to the head of state. He presented Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with a letter from President Emomali Rahmon inviting our head of state to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.

At the meeting, the sides stressed that there is a good legal framework for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, noted that there is great potential for the expansion of ties between our countries in various fields, including in the economy, trade, industry and investment.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Emomali Rahmon and asked to convey his greetings to the Tajik head of state.
