President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation, Yevgeniy Kuyvashev.
Touching upon the many years of friendly relations between Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan, Governor Yevgeniy Kuyvashev said: "The basis of these relations was laid by nationwide leader of the Azerbaijani people, great personality Heydar Aliyev." He recalled with satisfaction the visit of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, to Sverdlovsk Region and the celebration of the 90th birthday anniversary of the nationwide leader. Yevgeniy Kuyvashev described the opening of the Center of Azerbaijani language and culture at the Ural Federal University as a good indicator of our cooperation. Emphasizing that the Azerbaijani economy is developing rapidly and pointing to a successful cooperation with Azerbaijani companies, Yevgeniy Kuyvashev noted that trade between Azerbaijan and Sverdlovsk Region was growing fast.
The President said that the turnover between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and its constituent parts was on the rise, adding that favourable conditions have been created for its development. President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the two countries were cooperating on all issues and expressed his appreciation for the great respect for the memory of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in Sverdlovsk Region.
President Ilham Aliyev also noted with satisfaction that the Azerbaijanis living in the Russian Federation and the Russians living in Azerbaijan were contributing to the development of our countries. The President said that the visit of the delegation led by the governor of Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation, Yevgeniy Kuyvashev, to Azerbaijan provided a good opportunity for the discussion of future cooperation.
