President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Frans Timmermans.
The head of state noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands were developing successfully in various fields. President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction his recent meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte in Davos, during which the sides held fruitful discussions on the prospects of bilateral relations between our countries. The President expressed his confidence that the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Frans Timmermans, to Azerbaijan would serve to further develop bilateral relations.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Frans Timmermans said that his country was interested in expanding the relations with Azerbaijan in the political, economic and other spheres. Frans Timmermans noted the importance of reciprocal visits to the development of relations. Praising the progress made in the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan, the Minister stressed that Dutch companies were showing great interest in the Azerbaijani economy, especially its non-oil sector.
During the meeting the also sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, including the fields of information and communication technology, infrastructure, education, joint projects, etc.
