Ilham Aliyev had a meeting with President of the French Republic Francois Hollande

In Vilnius, the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev had a meeting with the President of the French Republic Francois Hollande.

At the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and France in political, economic, energy and cultural fields. French President Francois Hollande said that his country is following the economic successes of Azerbaijan with interest. It was noted that French companies are successfully operating in Azerbaijan and confidence was expressed in the further expansion of this activity.

The meeting stressed the mutual interest in expanding bilateral ties and noted the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and France within the European Union.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
