The chairman of the Slovenian National Party, Zmago Jelincic Plemeniti, congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his brilliant victory in the 9 October presidential election.
The message says: "This victory confirms the approval of the people of Azerbaijan of the great successes achieved and their active support for the policies aimed at the development of the country in all spheres of life. At the same time, the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev will strengthen Azerbaijan's positions in the international arena."
Underlining its confidence that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Slovenia would expand in all areas, the chairman said that this was in the interest of both peoples.
The leader of the Slovenian National Party wished President Ilham Aliyev every success in this high post and the people of Azerbaijan peace and progress.
